I don't know about you, but I love little words of wisdom...short and sweet. That's why I have read through this tiny book that I found in our church library: "Salt Cellars"gathered by Charles H. Spurgeon, (1834-1892) a British Baptist Preacher.

In the Forward of the book, Spurgeon defines a proverb or saying as having three components:
Shortness, Sense and Salt!
